As Salaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

It’s been almost 2 weeks since our father’s passing (rahimahullah) and the outpour of kind words and fond memories from those in his personal and professional lives has left us astounded! By Allah’s ﷻ grace, he was able to do so much for the people around him. I remember, after one appointment at Queen Square following his diagnosis of a brain tumour, we decided to take a short walk around London. The doctor had been very clear about his prospects, and wanting to get as much guidance from him as possible, I asked him for some life advice. As soon as he said it, I put it straight into my notes…

“I can only define myself by what I can do for other people“

It’s because of this sentiment, one he truly modelled in his life, that his loss is being so sorely felt in the lives of so many. Please continue to keep him in your du’aas. Though he’s gone, we hope that we’re able to fuel the goodness he left in this world and keep it going so he’s eternally rewarded.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, pious child who prays for him."

For this reason, we’ve decided to set up a fundraising page for a local charity close to his heart, who are working to build a mosque for the community he invested so much love and care into. We pray this will act as a sadaqah jaariyah for him, and that he’ll be rewarded for all the goodness that follows for generations to come. Please donate as much as you can, every penny is so appreciated!
