Critical Care Four Mere's Challenge

Sarah Penkett is raising money for Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Saddleworth Four Meres Walk · 12 July 2026

The Critical Care Unit at Tameside & Glossop IC NHS FT is launching a heartfelt mission: to improve the patient experience, acquire vital new equipment, and support ongoing staff development.

Story

The Critical Care team, alongside our family and friends, is taking on the Four Meres Challenge - a demanding 16-mile trek through the historic landscape of Saddleworth.

We’ll be traversing the ancient quarters of Friarmere, Shawmere, Lordsmere, and Quickmere. It’s a long journey through local history, and every mile covered helps us support the life-changing work happening on our unit.

We are raising vital funds to go above and beyond for our patients and colleagues. Your donations will help us:

* Enhance Patient Experience: Creating a more comfortable, healing environment for those in our care.

* Acquire New Equipment: Investing in cutting-edge technology to stay at the forefront of medical care.

* Support Our Staff: Funding ongoing development and wellbeing initiatives for the team working around the clock.

Whether it’s a small gesture or a larger gift, your contribution directly impacts the lives of our most vulnerable patients and the dedicated staff who care for them.

Please donate what you can and share our page with your network. Thank you for your incredible support!
