As a novice runner, I'm running the Blenheim 7K to fundraise for Jacari, a small charity providing free English language support to children and young people from refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant communities in Bristol and Oxford. I've been volunteering with Jacari since October and it's honestly the best thing I've done since living in Oxford. Their work is so important and makes a huge difference to children on a targeted local scale. Right now especially, they are making a positive impact; actively combatting a political climate in the UK which has become increasingly hostile to migrants.
