Story
The community Wave of Light in Saffron Walden on Wednesday 15 October offers anyone who has been affected by baby loss the opportunity to join together in the movement that people take part in across the world, at the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week. You are welcome to attend, hold a candle and stand together in a moment of silence in loving memory of all babies lost too soon. Ribbons will be available to tie around the bandstand, creating a display of remembrance for the whole of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

My niece, Eloise, was stillborn on 18th July 2023 and Petals, the baby loss counselling charity, were hugely helpful to my brother and sister in law. I know they have supported many more of us locally as well. So while a donation is absolutely not compulsory, any donations made will go towards this incredible charity.
More about Petals:
We are Petals, the baby loss counselling charity. The specialist counselling service that we provide is life-changing for parents who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby. We know that these tragic experiences not only result in grief but also in trauma. Our wonderful counsellors are there to help our clients navigate their grief and trauma and to guide them to a place of hope.
In supporting this event you will be helping us to deliver more vital counselling sessions to bereaved parents when they need us.
With thanks to Pottrill Holland Property Agents and Fiona O'Leary Physiotherapy and Pilates for sponsoring this event, and to Saffron Walden Town Council for their support.
