In August, Team Sage will be setting off on a three-day ride along the Sandstone Way, a rugged and beautiful route through Northumberland. Starting in Berwick-upon-Tweed, we’ll follow the trail south through Wooler and Rothbury, finishing in Hexham. It’s around 120 miles in total, with plenty of climbs, remote moorland, and some incredible views along the way.
The route takes us through some of the most scenic and lesser-known parts of the county—rolling hills, ancient stone tracks, and quiet villages. It’s not just about the cycling though. We’re doing this to raise money for Berwick Cancer Cars. It’s a cause close to our hearts, and we’re hoping the miles (and the sore legs) will be worth it.
We’re not racing—just riding together, supporting each other, and hopefully raising some funds and awareness along the way.
