Story

Hey Everyone, it's that time again. It's been another year since I raised money for charity, so here we go... ☀️

Once again, I've decided to take part in a Spartan Trifecta. For those unsure about what this is, it's not one, but three Spartan Obstacle Course Race events in any given year - Sprint, Super and Beast. Each event consists of a run, 5k, 10k and Half Marathon, and multiple obstacles throughout the course, 20, 25 and 30! 💪

Here is the summary of the Spartan Beast: "The ultimate Spartan test; a soul crushing half marathon with 30 obstacles. You’ll rarely find a Beast on flat ground, so your legs will burn with brutal ascents and descents. The Beast is notorious around the world for its difficulty."🥵

The events are in in May, August and October 2024 - so you have plenty of time to donate..! In the meantime, I have run multiple half marathons already this year, with at least 5 more lined up before year end - so I promise you will get your money's worth..!😎

For the past 3 years, I have been raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, and so far, we've raised over £7,000. This year, I will be raising money for Mind.🫂

For those of you unaware, Mind is a leading mental health charity dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing mental health issues. They provide advice, support, and awareness to empower anyone facing a mental health challenge. Their commitment to improving mental health services and promoting understanding makes them a vital resource in communities across the country. Supporting Mind means contributing to a world where no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

This is a cause, and charity that are incredibly close to my heart. I know countless people that suffer with mental health issues, to varying degrees, myself included. Sadly, I lost my brother, Kaveh, to Mental Health in 2008. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be getting any better either, and if anything, we are facing more mental health problems in the future than ever before.

It would be absolutely amazing if you could help me by donating whatever you can. I know times are currently difficult for everyone, so anything you can spare would be much appreciated. I'm sure most of you will be excited to see me collapsing at the finish line... But I promise I'll make it to the end... 🙏

Thanks again to everyone that supported me in 2023. We raised close to £2,000 for Macmillan which goes a long way to helping people with cancer live better lives.👏

Let's do it all over again..! 😁

Thanks a lot,

Sahand
