We are The Advanced Respiratory Care Unit (ARCU) at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH). We are a high acuity ward caring for a variety of patients, many of which are seriously ill with life limiting illnesses. Some patients are here on a long term basis and require non invasive ventilation, oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care and IV treatments to name a few.

We are trying to enhance our patient's and relative experience on our ward. We are working on improving our relatives room and promoting activities for patients for example smart device's, access to TV, reading materials and we would also love to provide desk fans for each of our 12 patients.

Team ARCU are planning to do a 10 mile walk starting and finishing at Trent Lock on 20th May 2023.

We would be very grateful if you could support us with any donations to help us improve our facilities. Recent feedback from our patients and their families resulted in lack of resources we have to keep the patients occupied and comfortable whilst on the ward.
