So why Parkinson’s?
A few months ago Gary Staker, SAIF's National President arranged a funeral for a lady whose mother had passed away. During his conversations, she told him about her husband, who was at home living with Parkinson’s and quite seriously affected by it. She spoke about the impact the condition had on their whole family — not just the person living with it, but everyone around them.
It made Gary realise how much people are quietly coping with conditions like Parkinson’s every day, often without much recognition or support. So he has decided that during his year as President he would try to do his part to help.
