Ethan and Toby are sailing across the Atlantic

We are the Ocean Conservation Trust. As a global Ocean conservation charity, we are acting now towards our vision of a healthy Ocean. We focus on behaviour change and habitat restoration, with an optimistic and solutions-based approach, centred around physical and emotional connections with nature.

Story

Join us on our journey as we set sail on the 19th November across the Atlantic to raise awareness for the Ocean Conservation Trust. We’ll be sailing on a 40ft boat called Wanderlust over 3,000 miles from the Canaries to St Lucia, living on the open ocean for three weeks, overcoming sea sickness, taking night watches, changing sails, cooking on a rolling boat and of course keeping up with our school work!   It's an incredible opportunity to spend 3 weeks at sea, without seeing anything except the Atlantic rollers, amazing star-filled night skies, and hopefully lots of dolphins and other marine life.  It’s also an opportunity to experience the ocean directly which is why we want to raise money for a charity that sets out to protect our precious marine life.

The Ocean Conservation Trust is a UK charity dedicated to positive action for ocean restoration and protection. We hope by supporting the work they do, we can create a better future for our planet. Our goal is to raise £1,500 to support this important cause. Every donation counts towards making a real impact on the health of our oceans.

Thanks so much for your support.  And if you would like to follow our journey, read our blogs and see our photos, please follow the link below to our passage web page as we leave Las Palmas in Gran Canaria on Sunday November 19th.

Thanks, Ethan and Toby.
