Story
We will be responding to the current emergency in Gaza, where hospitals are struggling to cope with an influx of serious injuries. The already dire humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening, as already struggling civilians in one of the most densely populated places on Earth, once more face the horror of major airstrikes. Power plants have run out of fuel which means Gaza is without electricity making it even more difficult to respond to those who need us the most.
After a needs assessment, we realised that the greatest need in Gaza is to support the hospitals with supplies. The Palestinian Minister of Health said that hospitals in Gaza are “working beyond their capacity to treat the wounded as a result of the occupation’s aggression, and as a result the hospitals in the Strip are out of service”.We will work closely alongside our partners on the ground to supply to prepare our humanitarian response and support as many hospitals as possible.
