Story
In 2025, my friends very tragically lost their son Jacob to SUDEP at just 20 years old.
Although most people with epilepsy live long and healthy lives, epilepsy is one of the top-ten causes of early death.
SUDEP Action is the only UK charity supporting those whose loved ones have died suddenly from an epilepsy-related death.
Their mission: 'We exist to prevent deaths from epilepsy. Changing and saving lives through research and enabling people with person-centered life-saving knowledge is our priority. Supporting the suddenly bereaved and involving people with lived experience in all we do is central to our mission'.
SUDEP Action receives no government funding & rely on their supporters and fundraisers to help them do what they do.
I'd be so grateful for any donations, big or small, to support this important work, which will give me the much needed boost when the 26.2 miles gets tough!
