I have autism, adhd, dyspraxia and grew up with teaching staff who didn’t think I could even spell IQ!

I was bullied and belittled, my choices were restricted and this has had a profound impact on my life.

An employee at Forward day centre, I now have the privilege of being able to work towards a truly inclusive society. To ensure our members have the support I lacked and to enable them to grow and thrive.

For many people, autism and learning disabilities prevent them from having access to making choices we take for granted, even choices such as when to get up and go to bed can be restricted due to care time tables.

Funding is limited which, in turn can restrict choice.

At Forward day centre we see each person as an individual and this person centred approach ensures our members have access to a range of activities of their choosing.

We need your support to enhance the lives of these amazing people. Particularly at this difficult time when everyone is struggling.
