Story
If you know me, you’ll know that walking up a mountain in the dark is not something I’d normally choose to do!
On 1st August, Jeff and I will be taking on the Queenscourt Hospice Snowdon at Night Challenge. To be honest, Jeff has been slightly roped into it, but we’re both determined to give it our best shot.
I’ve never climbed Snowdon before. In fact, I’ve never climbed a mountain of this size at all. And I’ve certainly never climbed one in the dark! While the physical challenge will be tough, anyone who knows me will tell you that the biggest challenge may actually be staying awake. I’m very much an early-morning person — get me up at 5.30am and I’m happy, but ask me to do something after 8pm and that’s a completely different story!
So why am I doing it?
Because Queenscourt Hospice is an incredible local charity that needs our support. Like many hospices across the country, they are facing significant funding challenges and rely heavily on fundraising to continue providing their vital care and support.
Through Sally BEE Pre-Loved, I’ve already had the privilege of supporting Queenscourt and I’ve heard so many stories from customers, friends and local families whose lives have been touched by the hospice. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful facility here in Southport, and I believe it’s important that we do everything we can to help ensure it’s there for future generations.
You never know when you or someone you love might need the care and support that Queenscourt provides.
So I’m asking, if you can, please donate. I know times are difficult for many people, but every pound truly makes a difference. Whether it’s £2, £5 or more, every contribution will help Queenscourt continue their amazing work.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement and generosity. Now all I need to do is get myself up that mountain… in the dark! And for Jeff to forgive me for yet another mad idea !
