Story
On April 26, I will be running the London Marathon in support of Amnesty International UK. This will be my second marathon, nine years after running the Manchester Marathon at university, and I am equal parts excited and nervous to be taking on 26.2 miles in the city I am from. I can confidently say I will not be doing this again, so now really is your chance to support me and Amnesty!
Amnesty International is a charity very close to my heart. I have volunteered with human rights organisations from a young age, inspired by my mum’s work in this field, and I have seen first hand how vital this work is. At a time when politicians are trying to roll back basic human rights and conflict continues to affect millions of people around the world, supporting organisations like Amnesty has never been more important.
I would love 2026 to be a better year for everyone, and running this marathon is my small way of contributing to that goal. By donating, you will be helping Amnesty continue their incredible work defending people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied.
Amnesty International is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organisation, and all funds raised will go to Amnesty International UK to support their vital campaigns and research.

If you want to follow more of my training then please follow my Strava and look for some updates on my social media accounts as I am hoping to create some content around my training.
