Sally's fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy UK

Ultra trail Snowdonia · 13 May 2023
Ever since I've known him my dad has loved sport and exercise. A childhood spent at our local tennis club passed this passion onto me (although sadly none of the tennis skills!). It was very tough for dad to get diagnosed with inclusion body myostitis (a form of muscular dystrophy) a few years ago. A lifetime of fitness has prepared him well to cope with the condition but still it's difficult for him to see his body deteriorate and not know what the future holds.
I am doing this race to thank dad for passing on his love of exercise to me and to raise much needed funds to help Muscular Dystrophy UK continue their research and support for those living with the condition. It's the hardest challenge I've ever undertaken and I'm hoping the fundraising will get me to the finish line! This one's for you dad!
