Sally’s trek to Base Camp Everest (NFRSA)

For many years, I was a police dog handler. I handled a general purpose dog called Dougie.
Once retired, Dougie spent his time with me, my family and friends. Enjoying time running through woods, swimming at the beach and generally causing mischief.
From 2022-2024, the NFRSA kindly covered Dougies medical bills. This allowed Dougie quality years doing things he loved, with the people who loved him.
In July 2024, at the age of fifteen and a half, age caught up with Dougie and he was gently put to sleep in my arms.
The NFRSA gave me precious, quality time with Dougie, making the last few years of his life a delight (and also a delight for me too). I would like to assist other service animals and owners to have the same opportunity.
On 5th November 2024, I will be trekking to Base Camp Everest and raising money for the NFRSA. The event is self funded, so all donations will go to the NFRSA.
Thank you so much for your kind donation. It really does make a difference to the retired service animals and those who care for them.
