The Jurassic coast is an exceptionally beautiful coastal area of the UK so it seems a fitting challenge to walk 26 miles around the coastline whilst raising some much needed funds for The Alzheimer's Society.

My beautiful, wonderful mum had dementia and I cannot express enough how devastating it is to the person and their families to get such a diagnosis. My mum's dementia journey was not an easy one and the anguish and heartbreak that my family felt is still not an easy one to write about.

I miss my mum every day and if there is anything that I can do to help find some kind of treatment and/or cure for this awful disease, then I'll have a go at raising some much needed 'dosh'. Two very close friends also lost their beloved mums to dementia and so I would like to honour their memory too by raising money on behalf of their lovely mums.
