In May this year my uncle Gren was diagnosed with cancer and just a few months later he sadly died. A close friend also lost her mum this summer and my dearest cousin has been living with cancer for far too long. Far too many lives affected by cancer and charities like St Lukes are incredible at supporting families through the most difficult of times, helping to make sure that the end of our lives is full respect, care and love.

About three weeks ago I signed up to run the Sheffield Ten 10 Ten which takes place on October 11th having not been on a run since last April. Eeek. I was in two minds whether to ask for sponsorship for this run as it's only a 10k (that may as well be a marathon to me) but if I can raise even just a few quid for the cause then it will all be worth it.
