Story
I am taking part in a personal swimming challenge, aiming to swim the distance of the English Channel at my local wild swimming lake. Over the course of the summer, my team Ladies of the lake will be pushing ourselves to cover this incredible distance to raise funds for KEMP Hospice, a place very close to my heart.
KEMP Hospice is based in the heart of the Wyre Forest and provides free holistic palliative care and support to adults living with progressive life-limiting illnesses. They also offer compassionate support to adults, children, and young people affected by bereavement. This hospice was a sanctuary for my family; my dad received care there when he was alive, which gave him comfort and joy, while also giving my mum much-needed respite.
The hospice never charges for its services, ensuring that everyone eligible can access care free of charge. However, it costs KEMP £2.1 million annually to provide these vital services. They rely heavily on community support to raise around £1.9 million each year so they can continue being there for people when they need it most.
I am committed to helping KEMP Hospice by raising £50 as part of this challenge. Your support will make a real difference in sustaining their invaluable work. Please join me in supporting this cause by donating today—every contribution counts towards providing comfort and care when it matters most.
