Story
Inspired by Lewis Moody and his fight against Motor Neurone Disease, I’ve decided to take on a challenge that is completely out of my comfort zone… I’m doing a wing walk - strapped to the top of a plane, terrifying - but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced every single day by people living with Motor Neuron Disease (MND).
MND is a devastating condition that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, gradually robbing people of their ability to move, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. There is currently no cure. But there is hope — through research, care, and support provided by incredible organisations like the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
I’m taking on this challenge to help fund vital research and support for those affected by MND. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us a step closer to better treatments, improved care, and ultimately a cure.
How You Can Help:
Please consider supporting me by donating to my JustGiving page. Your contribution will fund pioneering research to better understand and eventually treat MND, provide essential equipment and support for people living with the disease and offer comfort, guidance, and a voice to families affected
If you can, please donate and share my page to help spread the word. Every share of this message will make a real difference by helping me reach as many people as possible and raise vital awareness of MND, and every pound donated will help to fund essential support, research, and care, making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by Motor Neurone Disease around the world.
I’m also incredibly grateful to Cavendish Education, an education group that supports a family of specialist schools across the UK, for generously funding the cost of the wing walk itself. Their support has gone far beyond words—by covering the full cost of the challenge, they’ve shown a real commitment to championing causes that make a difference. Their belief in what I’m doing has given me a huge boost of confidence, and I’m proud to have them standing beside me as I take on something so bold and meaningful.
Thank you for your support — it genuinely means the world. Together, we can help fight MND.
