On 21 October 2025 David Soodeen, my husband of 30 years and dad to Elliott, Tash and Jason underwent his second major open heart surgery. He suffered complications after and we had some scary times.We were utterly humbled by the skill care and kindness of the staff in the Heart Institute.Running was about the only thing that kept me sane during that time, often accompanied by our amazing kids.Entering the Bristol 10k seems the perfect way to say thank you to the staff of the Heart Institiute in the hope of supporting care and innovation for future patients.I never dreamed that 18 dear friends family and colleagues would join together to do this with us.Please support us if you can.Dave will be cheering us on.He is the bravest person I know.
