As the cold weather approaches we face the prospect of seeing homeless people on the streets of Thanet.

In response to this and with thanks to the generosity of a Ramsgate church there is a solution.

The Salvation Army and local Churches are working with Thanet District Council’s RISE team to provide a winter shelter in Thanet this year.

The shelter will provide life-saving support for up to twenty people per night through until March 2026. With warm beds, hot meal and a listening ear, along with practical support.

Donations will help fund meals, bedding, laundry, and sundries.

Together, we can bring compassion, dignity, and hope to those facing homelessness this winter.
