After experiencing the invaluable care and support that The Kirkwood provides to those with life-limiting illnesses (a long number of years ago with our grandparents), we have long promised ourselves that we would participate in The Kirkwood Starlight Walk. This year, we are finally committed to making it happen and will be embarking on a 10 mile walk on July 5th, 2025.

We are reaching out to you because The Kirkwood, like many hospices, is facing more financial challenges than ever before. We would be incredibly grateful for any donation you can make, no matter how small. Every contribution really counts and will go directly to The Kirkwood.

To illustrate the impact of your generosity: a £10 donation could fund a virtual wellbeing session for a patient living with heart failure; £50 could provide specialist counselling support for a patient and their family; and £100 could offer vital support to a patient in their own home from one of The Kirkwood Nurses.

The Kirkwood supports anyone affected by a life-limiting illness every step of the way. Right now, over 3,000 people in Kirklees are living with an illness from which they will not recover. Your support means they can be there for them during their most challenging times.
