I am walking from the North coast of Iceland to the South coast bewteen 1st August and the 10th, a distance of 209 miles. I am very keen to raise funds for the Farming Community Network - a charity that supports farmers and farming families via their helpline and volunteer network across the UK. They need to be the first port of call for pastoral and practical support of all those in need in the farming community. This charity resonates with me as unfortunately my dad who owned a dairy farm in South Devon ended his own life when I was four years old. I live amongst the farming community and testify to the hard work our farmers do in all weathers, very often on their own and for extermely long hours. There is no let up.
