Demand for Hackney Foodbank has increased by 53% in the past year. The charity provides emergency food parcels for people in poverty in moments of crisis and connects them with local organisations that can help them to address the root causes and wider effects of poverty in their lives. They’re currently supporting around 550 people per week; distributing more than 14 tonnes of food per month.
