Story

This August I'll be climbing Scotland's 282 Munros, 226 Munro Tops and the 11 Island Corbetts for 3 fantastic charities! If all goes well then I'll be done by Christmas :).

Please donate whatever you can to whichever charities you like! A pound here or there will go a long way. £500 total is my aim!

For those that fancy it, donate £50 for me to take a set of bagpipes up a hill of your choosing and play you a tune! Send me a message with details.

For those that don't know:

Munro - A Scottish mountain over 3000ft or 914.4m.

Munro Top - A subsidiary Munro peak also over 3000ft but not separate enough to be it's own Munro.

Corbett - A Scottish mountain over 2500ft and below 3000ft with a drop of at least 500ft.

Why!? I hear you ask...

Having grown up on Loch Long just South of the Highlands (where the cover photo was taken), the Munros are a chance to go and explore all of Scotland whilst helping 3 fantastic organisations.

Cancer Research: My Gran, Margaret, sadly passed away from Bowel Cancer and this charity does great research in trying to stop cancer from taking so many of our loved ones.

Scottish Mountain Rescue: This body represents all the mountain rescue teams of Scotland. These guys are brilliant folk that come to our rescue and give us a fighting chance of surviving an accident. I plan to never need their services but they help keep us safe out on the mountains and need funding!

Help for Heroes: 2025 marks the start of my full-time career in the British Army having spent 4 years in the Army Reserve and Corps of Royal Engineers. Help for Heroes do incredible work mending and building our service people back up to their cheery selves and I know many who this charity has helped.
