Story
On Saturday 23rd September, I will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for Alzheimer’s Research UK. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24-miles round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the challenge of the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), and in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Any support for this cause is greatly appreciated!
If nothing changes, one in two of us will be directly affected by dementia – ether by developing the condition ourselves, caring for someone with it, or both.
As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, we’re determined to stop this from becoming a reality.
We’re working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. But we will not stop there.
With your support, we will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia. We exist for a cure.
