Story
I will be doing the 2026 Edinburgh Marathon on the 24th of May and as this is my first marathon, I though it was a good opportunity to fundraise for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
An organisation close to home and completely run on donations, this flying service spans across the north of England and the Isle of Man. With daily operating costs of just over £25K and an annual cost of around £9.6M, every donation helps to keep this life-saving operation going. There is currently a pledge to raise £2.5M to invest in a third helicopter as the remaining two are reaching the end of their service lives.
Any donations will be much appreciated and I will be posting training and fundraising updates throughout these 10 weeks.
Cheers!
