Story
This Sunday 21st June, I’ll be taking part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride to raise money for the Local Families with Blood Disorders (LFWBD) charity.
I was born with Haemophilia A, a lifelong bleeding disorder that has affected me and my family throughout my life. Growing up with haemophilia brought challenges not only for me, but also for my parents and siblings. Hospital visits, treatment schedules, and the constant worry that comes with managing a blood disorder can place a real strain on the whole family.
Charities such as LFWBD make a huge difference to families living with blood disorders. They raise funds to organise family days out, events, and support networks that bring people together. These opportunities gave me something positive to look forward to growing up, while also providing my family with some much-needed respite and support.
Most importantly, LFWBD helps connect families facing similar challenges. It creates a community where people can share experiences, find guidance, and support one another through difficult times. Knowing that others understand what you’re going through can make a huge difference.
By supporting my London to Brighton ride, you’ll be helping LFWBD continue providing these valuable experiences and support services for local families affected by blood disorders.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
