As you may know, Abbie (Sam's partner) is the Sister at Katharine House hospice. She kindly volunteered Sam, who has roped in Dunc to cycle London to Paris to raise money for this great charity.

With us both being hospital doctors, we have seen first hand the importance of good quality care towards the end of life.

Katharine house is an excellent hospice that provides round the clock care in these precious moments. The hospice is able to provide excellent care and with the support of the charity, it can offer facilities that make it a truly special place to be, such as cuddle beds, bubble baths, cinema nights, drinks trolleys and relatives rooms (to name a few).

Most of us know a loved one who has been in the position of needing end of life care, and we could only wish the services of KH were available at the time
