Why I’m doing the Winter Walk for Endo
This January 24th, I’m taking part in the Winter Walk for Endo, walking 10k in support of the 1 in 10 women affected by endometriosis, and fundraising for Endometriosis UK.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. I live with endometriosis. I also work every day supporting other women who are navigating its impact on their bodies, their fertility, their work, their relationships, and their sense of self.
For many of us, the journey to diagnosis and care is long, painful, and filled with dismissal. Years of being told our pain is “normal”. Years of being sent away with little more than painkillers. Years of learning to doubt our own bodies.
Endometriosis UK exists to change that. Their work focuses on education, awareness, support, and most importantly helping people get onto the right pathway to care sooner, not years down the line after unnecessary suffering. That matters more than most people realise.
I’m doing this walk in winter because healing does not always happen in easy seasons. January can be hard. Cold. Heavy. Quiet. And yet, so many women with endometriosis are still showing up, still surviving, still pushing through pain that is often invisible to the outside world.
Every step I take is for:
-The women still waiting for answers
-The women who have been told it’s all in their head
-The women balancing pain with work, family, and life
-The women who deserve to be believed, supported, and properly cared for
If you’re able to donate, please know that your support is helping to change the narrative around endometriosis. It is helping ensure fewer women are left in the dark, and more are guided towards compassionate, informed care.
Thank you for being part of this with me. Truly.
