Hiking all the Peak District hills & trig points in 2025

Papyrus is a young person’s suicide prevention charity. That means we provide urgent support, education, campaigns and conversations that keep children and young people safe from suicide. And above all else, we’re here. We’re always here. That’s how we save lives.

Story

PAPYRUS is the national charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.

If you would like to join us on one of the hikes please follow this link to a WhatsApp group where I will publish details of the upcoming hike a couple of days before with the difficulty, length, locations etc…

The more the merrier!

We are raising money through hikes where we will ascend all of the Peak Districts highest hills and reach all the trig points (88) in 2025.

We are aiming to raise £1000 for Papyrus which is a company very close to my heart, after losing a friend to suicide in 2020. Since then I have joined the incredible 3 Dads Walking on their mission and I have raised £1,300 on a previous walk I did a few years ago. So if you could spare any money it would be hugely appreciated and helpful to the cause.

100% of donations go towards Papyrus.

Also check out my joint fundraiser which is raising money for the Manchester International Church of Christ. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/sam-harris-4565633246?utm_term=b3YD9MPwB

Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people take their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.

Every £10 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are changing lives, thank you.
