Story
In April 2026, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the RVC also known as the Queen Mothers Hospital for small animals.
Back in 2023 they saved Georges life. I was told he either had a bleed on the brain , Brain tumour or meningitis .
George spent 6 days and 5 nights in the hospital undergoing CT Scans ,MRI Scans, bloods tests , tissue samples taken from his brain after which he was diagnosed with meningitis MUA . There was a 75% of survival with him going back to his normal ways. He has to have chemo in order to keep his immune system suppressed to stop it attacking the brain. Additionally, imaging of the chest and abdomen revealed a mass lesion within the chest which thankfully is not cancerous but we have that monitored and checked every 6 months now.
George started chemo straight away and was having it every 3 weeks for 5 cycles and then moved to chemo every 4 weeks for 5 cycles and so on. We are now up to chemo every 10 weeks and hopefully should be coming off chemo early next year.
The Neurology department are amazing and always keep me updated with how George is when he has his over night stays for chemo.
So now i would like to do something for them and help raise money for the hospital.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
