Sam's fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

London Marathon 2024 · 21 April 2024 ·
At just 5 days old, my Daughter Darcey underwent a routine heel prick test that revealed a problem. After more tests, it was confirmed that they have Cystic Fibrosis - a genetic condition that mainly affects the lungs and digestive system. It's been tough watching them go through so much at such a young age - hospital visits, daily medication, physiotherapy - all of which will continue throughout Darcey’s life. But despite it all, Darcey faces everything with bravery and a smile on her face. I couldn't be prouder of her.
That's why I'm running the London Marathon in 2024 to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. This charity is close to my heart because they're constantly working to improve the lives of those with the condition by providing funding for new research, driving up standards of care, and supporting individuals with the disease along with their families. They've done so much for us already, and I want to give back by raising £2,000 for this amazing cause.
