Story
Hello everyone,
I’m running The Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October for SLOW, who have been a lifeline for one of my best friends since we lost the beautiful Goldie.
Any donation is greatly appreciated to help support this incredible charity. ❤️*
*Thank you to everyone who has donated so far and helped me reach my target several times💛
SLOW - Surviving the Loss of Your World - provides support for bereaved families in London and throughout the UK after the death of a child in the family.
Bereaved families say the support groups are a lifeline, giving them the chance to connect and share their experiences with other bereaved families. No one ever wants to be part of this group.
That said, here's what our members have said:
"SLOW literally kept me alive. In the early days I just wanted to kill myself, I was just in a dark place. I didn't see a future. I can absolutely say, without a doubt, that without SLOW I wouldn't be here."
“SLOW was like an oasis in the desert, that’s what it was like for me. It was a massive relief”
“I have to say with my hand on my heart, SLOW was what helped me the most and it’s difficult to quantify how, when you’re in that awful state, how or what has helped you. But I knew in my heart what I felt when I left each SLOW meeting, and I still do. I just feel grounded and supported."
