Over 3500 people have now been counted amongst the dead. Families with children killed by falling buildings while they slept. An absolutely heartbreaking situation that none of us would ever hope to endure.

But the reality of the situation is clear and the consequences will be felt for long after the dust has settled.

The Red Cross urgently needs help with the rescue effort, to help save those trapped underneath there own homes, many families will be hoping that there loved ones are counted amongst those who are pulled from under the rubble and when the rescue is over they will need help to rebuild there life’s over from scratch. Help with food, clothing, fuel and shelter and support on their journey back towards normality.

Please give what you can to this appeal and if you cannot afford to give them use your voice to help this message travel further so it may reach as many people as possible and keep the earthquake at the forefront of people’s minds. We cannot let this kind of devastation be filtered away from our attention. These are real people, suffering real loss, we must do whatever we can to help them no matter how small we might think it is, every little nudge of support can help a small ship go a long way.
