Home-Start Greenwich: Giving Every Child the Best Start in Life

At Home-Start Greenwich, we believe children thrive when families are strong and supported. For over 30 years, we’ve been standing beside some of the most vulnerable families with young children across the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Many of the families we support face challenges such as poverty, poor mental health, social isolation, housing insecurity, domestic abuse, and the pressures of parenting without a support network. Through early intervention, we offer vital emotional and practical support to parents who are struggling to cope. The power of our volunteers makes meaningful, lasting connections with these families. Through home visits, parenting groups, play-based activities, community networks and practical help, we work alongside families to build confidence, skills and the resilience they need to give their children a brighter future.

Our supported families live in areas of deep deprivation and inequality, where disadvantage often passes from one generation to the next. We work to break that cycle.

Our family-centred services meet each parent where they are, offering tailored support that makes a real difference. Young parents are one of our key priorities, with the right help at the right time, they can transform not only their own lives but also their children’s futures.

Every donation helps us reach more families. Together, we can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to those who need it most, strengthening our community and giving every child the best possible start in life.
