Hello Friends

Out of the blue, our 5 year old daughter Jasmine suffered acute liver failure the week before Christmas. She was admitted to King’s College Hospital in London and within a week she underwent a liver transplant which saved her life.

The care she received throughout this ordeal was remarkable; from the nurses and doctors on the general, PICU, PHDU and liver wards to the information and support we received from the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.

The disease that Jazzy had, which caused her liver to fail is incredibly rare. But thanks to the research conducted at King’s and around the world we were able to have a swift diagnosis and answers to all our many questions.

If it wasn’t for these brilliant people and organisations, Jazzy’s life would be a very different story. She is doing well with her new liver and is on the road to recovery - she is dancing again!

So, the Chobham Dads - Team LEChob - have decided to raise some money for the CLDF and we’re asking for your help.

We’re attempting to cycle Land’s End to Chobham – a distance of 500 km’s / 300 miles in 3 days from the 9th to 11th of May 2024.

100% of all funds raised will be going directly to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. CLDF is the only UK charity dedicated to fighting all forms of childhood liver disease, by providing information, emotional support, funds for research and a campaigning voice for everyone affected.
