⛳ Challenge 72 ⛳

After being appointed Junior Captain at Hallamshire Golf Club, I wanted to take on something special to raise money for our incredible Captains’ Charity, Emmaus Sheffield.

So, I’m challenging myself to complete 4 rounds of golf in 24 hours – that’s 72 holes in a single day! I will be doing the 72nd hole with my fellow Captains: Charles and Gillian.

Each round of golf of 18 holes normally takes 3.5 or 4 hours, so over 4 rounds I will be walking a huge distance, and hence needing all the support I can muster!

I’m aiming to raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity. Every donation, however big or small, will make a huge difference.

For those of you who want to know a bit more about the charity, Emmaus Sheffield is homeless charity with a difference. They offer people who were formerly homeless a place to live where they can feel safe and secure, where they can rediscover their dignity and self-pride and work towards becoming self-reliant and independent.

Based in Sheffield’s canal basin, it is a unique alcohol and drug free project; it provides a safe and secure home for up to 18 formerly homeless men and women at any one time. Known as Companions, they provide a home, not just for one night, but for as long as they need it.

They run a social enterprise that is not only a home and Community to the vulnerable adults they support, but a business as well. They work with the

Companions offering four core services: accommodation, training, meaningful work and support.
