Story
I'm running the Sheffield Half Marathon for a local Sheffield charity called Grow, for whom I am a proud Trustee.
They are a youth development and employability charity working with 16-24 year olds. Many of the young people they support face mental health difficulties, resulting in social isolation and a lack of engagement in work or education prospects.
Their youth development programmes combine two powerful elements: nature and coaching. Grow harnesses the power of outdoor learning and gardening to help young people achieve positive outcomes, such as improved mental health, enhanced skills, and eco-friendly habits. They also coach young people to unleash their potential and take charge of their own lives.
