Hello! This is my last MARMathon fundraiser of high school. MARMathon is our annual school wide fundraiser that is aimed at renovating or renewing parts of the school. This year, I am the student council vice president and committee leader of MARMathon, so I was able to come up with a list of ideas to present to administration. We have not decided on a project yet, but we have sent in quotes and I will let you know what we decide on. Some of the ideas were finishing renovations in the main hallway by epoxying the floor and painting the doors and wood trim, painting the old panels on the outside of the main hallway, resurfacing the parking lot, and redesigning the basement hallway. The past years I have been at Marmion, we have raised money for new furniture for the cafeteria and classrooms, redesigned main hallway, and got outdoor seating for lunch. As you can see, this fundraiser does so much for the school, so that is why it is the most important fundraiser of the school year. In addition to the fundraising, we dedicate a day to Marmathon and celebrate as a school by having a dodgeball tournament and get commemorative class t-shirts (which I also get to design 😃). Lastly, the school gets cool prizes for raising more money and for the donators, if you donate $25 or more, you’ll be entered to win a custom Marmion Spirit Wear prize pack (and get one entry for every $25 donated). Any amount you could donate would be great and if you know of anybody else that would like to donate, it would be great if you could share it with them. Thank you!
