157 mile run through Wales, climbing the 3 highest peaks · 5 August 2024

Acorns supports around 750 children and almost 1,000 families every year. The charity needs to raise £11 million each year to provide its lifeline care. Your support means Acorns can continue to be there for local families facing the unimaginable. Together, we are stronger.

Story

At Acorns Children’s Hospice they offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. Their services include short breaks for children at their hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support.

In support of this fantastic charity I’ll be looking to raise as much money as possible by taking on the monumental challenge of climbing Wales’s 3 highest peaks (Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen Y Fan) and running the entire distance in between! This event will take place on Monday 5th August until Saturday 10th August.

It amounts to a marathon a day and over 31000 feet of climbing (higher than Mt Everest)

The most I’d ran before deciding on this multi-day challenge was a half marathon last year. With lots of training and plenty of 5am starts I’ll be ready (🤞🏼)
