Sam's fundraiser for Media Trust

Transgrancanaria 126km · 23 February 2024
Transgrancanaria. As their website says: "A goal. A dream." Or perhaps they mean nightmare? 126km of running across Gran Canaria, covering mountains, valleys, forests and riverbeds; facing sun, wind, rain, and even snow; 6800m of elevation; expected finish time 30 hours, meaning two successive nights without sleep....why would anyone in their right mind attempt this?

My reason is to raise sponsorship for Media Trust, where I am proud to be a trustee. Media Trust is a fantastic, dynamic charity that gives small charities a stronger voice and helps diverse talent break into media. You can read more out the impact of their work here:

All donations go directly to Media Trust. So please help them - and motivate me to keep going - thank you!!
Back to my original question....why would anyone in their right mind attempt this? I suspect the answer is simple: no-one in their right mind would.
Happy running!
Sam

About the charity
Media Trust was founded in 1994 with the vision to create a more fair and equal society, by levelling the playing field for media representation in the UK. Since then, we’ve built influential partnerships with the media and creative industry to facilitate mutual skills sharing and strengthen the voice of charities and under-represented communities. Our award-winning training supports charities in developing their communication and digital skills and we also match charities looking for pro bono support with industry volunteers looking to give back. Meanwhile, our innovative industry-led talent programmes are giving young and diverse creatives the access, mentoring and other support to break into the media.
