Sam's Camino Frances for the Stroke Association

Sam Vaughan is raising money for Stroke Association

Camino de Santiago

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

My name's Sam, and in 2025, my wonderful mum had a stroke that changed all our lives. The way ahead involved a long, difficult rehabilitation. But we were lucky. Within a few months mum was up and about, with her goal of returning to parkrun looking ever more likely.

In March 2026, I will begin the Camino Frances, the pilgrim trail in Spain. I hope my journey can raise as much money as possible for the Stroke Association that will save so many more families from the kind of pain associated with strokes.
