Story
On May 30th, I’ll be running the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in memory of my grandad, Tom Kelly.
This is a 24 mile circular route covering Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with around 1,600 metres of elevation. It’s a challenge many people walk and still find tough, so I’ll be pushing myself to run it.
I’m doing this for Tom, but also to raise money for Pendleside Hospice, who cared for him in his final days at home. The support they gave him, and us as a family, was incredible. Nothing was ever too much, and they helped make a very difficult time that bit more manageable.
By supporting this, you’re helping Pendleside continue to provide that same level of care for families going through some of the hardest moments they’ll face.
Any support, big or small, really does make a difference.
What your donation could help provide:
£10 could help provide essential equipment for patient care at home
£25 could help fund a visit from a specialist nurse
£50 could support a family with bereavement care and guidance
£100 could help cover a number of hours of expert nursing support
£200+ could contribute towards the cost of caring for a patient for a full day, either at home or within the hospice
Pendleside Hospice is a pillar of palliative care, offering unwavering support to individuals, families, and carers dealing with the challenges of advancing long term and life limiting illnesses.
Thanks to the generous backing of our community, Pendleside can continue to enhance quality of life and promote independence for our service users and their families. Your contributions are crucial in helping us deliver the exceptional care and support that truly impacts the lives of those in Burnley and Pendle.
