Story
I’ve set myself a challenge that might be the hardest thing I’ll ever do! It’s definitely the hardest thing to date for myself. I’m running 21 half marathons in 21 consecutive days starting on the 24/01/26 and finishing on 13/02/26 that’s 441,000m in just 3 weeks. I’m doing it in aid of Kirkwood hospice. Kirkwood has helped people very close to me over the last couple of years and their ongoing support for others throughout Kirklees should never be overlooked.
Kirkwood provides free, specialist palliative care and support for adults in Kirklees with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on quality of life from diagnosis to end-of-life, including care for families and carers during illness and bereavement. They offer services like wellbeing, family support, complementary therapies, and care at home, in the community, and within the hospice, aiming to support anyone affected by any life-limiting condition with compassion and dignity.
What I will go through mentally and physically during the challenge will never come close to those who Kirkwood help. So please just spare a little something and start the new year right by giving to this wonderful charity
Thank you
