Sam & Pam’s Three Peaks fundraiser for Brainstorm Charity

Samantha Walsh is raising money for Brainstorm Charity

Three Peaks in 24 Hours

Our aim is to fight and, hopefully cure brain cancer in all its forms by funding dedicated research into the use of advanced translational imaging technologies and surgical techniques, in combination with therapeutic treatments.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In August 2023 our family’s world changed when my dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumour. Since then, he has faced two major surgeries and ongoing treatment with incredible strength and determination. We’re so grateful that his most recent scans are stable, and he continues to fight this disease with courage and resilience every day.

In 2024 we completed a year-long fundraising challenge in his honour, taking on a new challenge each month and raising £12,455. The support we received meant so much to our family and reminded us how powerful community can be during the toughest times.

For 2026, we’re stepping things up again. Pam and I are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge — climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) within 24 hours. That’s around 23 miles of hiking, over 3,000 metres of elevation, and very little sleep. It will be tough, but it feels incredibly meaningful to take this on together.

We’re raising money for Brain Storm Charity, supporting brain tumour research — a charity very close to our hearts and our journey with this disease. The research, treatment and support available to families like ours is vital, and we want to help make a difference for others facing the same path.

Our target for this challenge is £2,000.

Every donation, share and message of support means the world to us.

Thank you for supporting us, our family, and everyone affected by brain tumours.
