Sam and Sue Iron Will 2025

Iron Will 2025
Our amazing son Will has a rare muscle wasting condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Since he was diagnosed in 2014, with the help of an amazing group of friends, we have raised money to fund research into a treatment for DMD.
At the end of 2024, Will started on a trial for Givinostat, the first drug other than a steroid, that appears to be slowing the impact of DMD. The fundraising gives us hope for further breakthroughs
For this year, we have created the Iron Will 2025; a long distance triathlon comprising a 7.5 mile Stand Up Paddleboard; 50 mile Mountain Bike; and 26.2 mile Trail Marathon based in the mountainous terrain around Keswick in the Lake District. We’ve recruited another incredible team to complete this challenge.
Every £ that you donate through this page will go to the Muscular Dystrophy UK Duchenne Breakthrough Research Fund, to fund further research into treatments for DMD.
