Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Every week in the UK, at least 12 seemingly fit and healthy young people lose their lives to undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) can work towards reducing the number of young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD) by collaborating with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practices and provide vital screening facilities to protect young hearts.

🔹 An average heart screening costs just £35.

With over 600 students at Wellacre, imagine the impact we could make if, as a staff team, we helped fund screenings for as many young people as possible!

CRY believes that all young people should have access to life-saving heart screenings. Shockingly, 1 in 300 people tested by CRY is found to have a potentially life-threatening heart condition—one that could benefit from lifestyle advice, treatment, or even corrective surgery.

By supporting CRY, you are helping to save young lives.
