We were both born deaf. We went to school where we were the only deaf children. If it wasn’t for Berkshire Deaf Children’s Society we would hardly ever have met other deaf children. This gives us a lot more confidence and pride in our deafness.

BDCS organise fun days out and activities for us where we can meet other deaf children and their families. They organise activities that might otherwise be difficult for deaf children by having BSL interpreters such as sailing lessons or Go Ape. They hire whole cinema screens for subtitled showings of the latest films and other cool things. They also let our parents get together and have a good chat! (They really love that - especially our mums!)

All of this is only possible by raising money through fundraising so we want to give something back so we are doing a sponsored Stealth challenge. We are going to ride Stealth at Thorpe Park as many times as we can in one day!

Stealth accelerates from 0 to 80 mph in 1.8 seconds. It is the third tallest roller coaster in the UK. It reaches a height of 62.5 metres (205 ft) and reaches a top speed of 80 mph (129 km/h). Riders experience a maximum of 4.7 g.
